Position Summary: The Chief People Officer is responsible for directing all functions and performance associated with employees of the St. Luke’s Network in accordance with its policies and practices, including the Chesterfield and all offsite locations. This key executive provides strategic and operational leadership in the development and delivery of state-of-the-art human resources programs and initiatives related to recruitment, retention, employee satisfaction, compensation, benefit administration, total rewards, education, HRIS administration and implementation and other human resource operations across the St. Luke’s network. The CPO will ensure awareness, oversight and compliance with laws, regulations, and administrative rulings of governmental and other regulatory and advisory authorities. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required
  • At least ten years of progressive experience in general human resource management including direct experience in talent acquisition, compensation and benefit administration within a complex, multi-site setting.
  • Experience collaborating closely with senior executive colleagues across an enterprise to help reconcile complex operational demands with transformational organizational initiatives and influence the pace of change that significantly impacts the workforce.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is helpful.
