Specialty: Surg: Pediatric Orthopedics Jefferson Health, one of the nation’s largest and most highly-respected health systems, is conducting a national search for a visionary and dedicated leader to serve as Chief, Pediatric Orthopedics within Jefferson Orthopedics and the Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. Opportunity Summary This is a unique opportunity to lead a critical subspecialty division within a nationally-recognized integrated practice that spans Southeastern Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley and New Jersey based at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, the region’s first and most trusted children’s health network. Jefferson Orthopedics operates on a highly successful “pluralistic” model, combining employed and private practice physicians to form one of the country's largest orthopedic practices, consistently recognized among the top 25 programs nationally by U.S. News & World Report. The successful candidate will be responsible for three core areas: Clinical Leadership and Practice Building: You will be sought as a "program builder" to establish best processes and practices, driving clinical excellence and integration for pediatric orthopedics across our geographically-based integrated network. Executive Leadership and Enterprise Connectivity: You will fulfill a vital leadership role as the Division Chief of Pediatric Orthopedics at both the Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute and Jefferson Orthopedics. Additionally, there will be leadership opportunities with Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. Academic Engagement: The Division Chief has the opportunity to engage with residents across three existing and one emerging orthopedic residency programs. Development of a pediatric orthopedic fellowship would be supported when appropriate. Requirements

  • We are seeking a talented and dedicated orthopedic surgeon with specialty training in pediatric orthopedics.
  • The ideal candidate: Possesses sophisticated clinical skills, strong academic aspirations and a passion for positively impacting patient care, safety and experience.
  • Must be board-certified or board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics.

Nice To Haves

  • Is an experienced pediatric orthopedic surgeon (preferred), but outstanding recent graduates or those matriculating from accredited fellowships in the coming months will be strongly considered.
