About The Position

The Chief of Staff is a trusted partner to the Chief People Officer and the P&C Leadership Team. The role is essential for ensuring the leadership team operates efficiently and effectively and encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including managing projects, strategic initiatives, communications, and coordinating cross-functional efforts. Additionally, the Chief of Staff manages P&C Leadership team meetings and oversees the planning, implementation, coordination, and communication of Global P&C objectives, initiatives, and projects. This role also involves collaborating with the internal and external stakeholders to help ensure the Chief People Officer is properly prepared for internal and external engagements. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, an exceptional collaborator and communicator, and a highly organized project manager with strong business acumen. The role will be based in Purchase, NY.

  • Strong knowledge of communications disciplines, including executive communications, corporate communications, and employee communications.
  • Sound judgment with proven ability to build rapport and gain acceptance at all levels.
  • Critical thinker able to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling, and influential communications.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills; experienced in working under tight deadlines with shifting/competing priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR leadership team and objectives set forth by the CPO, including planning and coordination of meetings and follow-up on projects and initiatives.
  • Define, structure, evaluate and execute cross-functional initiatives including gathering and analysis of relevant data and development of actionable recommendations.
  • Lead the development of compelling, thoughtful, and clear presentations and talking points for the CPO for a variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Build deep and collaborative relationships across the P&C function and with key business leaders, ensuring alignment of strategy and initiatives.
  • Manage leadership meetings agendas, pre-read materials and track follow-up items as needed.
  • Support the CPO planning of internal and external engagements such as presentations, business trips and other activities.
  • Help the P&C leadership team in its pursuit of being a more agile, connected, efficient and effective organization.
  • Lead special projects as required.
