About The Position

The Chief of Staff to the CAO will act as a strategic partner and advisor, facilitating communication and collaboration across departments to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's administrative functions. This role requires a proactive leader with strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives that align with the organization's goals.

Requirements

  • University degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience required; 7+ years preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CAO in developing and executing the strategic vision of the organization.
  • Work with the CAO and Executive Committee to establish annual, quarterly, and monthly strategic priorities and facilitate workflows advancing them.
  • Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage key projects and initiatives on behalf of the CAO.
  • Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives and provide updates to the CAO.
  • Ensure alignment of departmental activities with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Handle oversight of projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility.
  • Create structure and focus for broad, ambiguous ideas that the executive team is exploring and bring forth recommendations for action in a timely manner.
  • Drive execution of action items and top priorities agreed upon by the CAO, HR, and the Executive Committee.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial management as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CAO and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, including setting agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture and promote teamwork across departments.
  • Prepare presentations and updates for internal audiences, such as leadership reports, summaries of board meetings, or presentations for company-wide meetings.
  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the CAO to facilitate efficient decision making.
