The APS - Chief of Staff (CoS) will report to the President of APS and provide strategic support to the SBU. Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) is the premier supplier of advanced aerospace and defense products that enable a safer, more connected world. APS is a merchant-supplier Strategic Business Unit (SBU) that leverages scale and technology commonality to provide leading-edge, reliable, and cost-competitive products in both the high- and low-end segments. Headquartered in McKinney, TX, APS has a broad domestic footprint across 12 major sites and one international site. The selected individual will work closely with those that make up the Program Management Office (PMO) and the functional directors who are matrixed to the Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The breadth of responsibility, for this position, creates tremendous exposure into the APS SBU’s day-to-day business operations and strategic direction; as well as the opportunity to demonstrate a high level of creativity, innovation, and initiative. The APS Chief of Staff role is a highly visible position within the organization requiring attention to detail while responding quickly to urgent and evolving business needs. The candidate selected for this role will learn the SBU’s organizational structure as well as responsibilities amongst the programs and the functional areas while working with their counterparts in other SBUs to provide deliverables across Raytheon and RTX. This position is designed to be a mid-term assignment (18-24 months) and serves as a development opportunity for a future program manager or functional leader.
