About The Position

Northwell Health's Division of Rheumatology is seeking Chief of Rheumatology for Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, NY. Northern Westchester Hospital, part of Northwell Health, is a 245-bed acute care hospital offering a wide range of medical-surgical, inpatient, and outpatient services. Founded in 1916, the Hospital is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care through a unique combination of medical expertise, leading-edge technology, and a dedication to humanity that ensures our patients and their families receive treatment in a caring, respectful, and nurturing environment. Improving and protecting the health of the community is central to our mission. Northern Westchester Hospital serves as a clinical campus for the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, which is owned by the health system in partnership with Hofstra University. We launched our first class of internal medicine residents in June 2024 as we continue to transition into an academic tertiary center in the region. The Division of Rheumatology, consisting of over 50 rheumatologists throughout the New York area, requires several more rheumatologists to fulfill enormous community needs. The focus will be on outpatient activities at all sites, but inpatient consultations, teaching, and scholarly work may be available depending on location. Northwell Health is New York State's largest health care provider and private employer, with 21 hospitals, over 850 outpatient facilities and more than 16,600 affiliated physicians. We care for over two million people annually in the New York metro area and beyond, thanks to philanthropic support from our communities. Our 80,000 employees - 18,900 nurses and 4,900 employed doctors, including members of Northwell Health Physician Partners - are working to change health care for the better. We're making breakthroughs in medicine at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. We're training the next generation of medical professionals at the visionary Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies.
