About The Position

The position oversees the development and implementation of the site nursing operations plan, including staffing resource requirements, care models, workflows, and technology in alignment with the site and system nursing strategy. The role is responsible for nursing clinical quality performance, team member engagement, and patient experience, promoting a culture of safety and high reliability behaviors. The incumbent commits to continuous quality improvement and, in partnership with the site CMO and quality leaders, monitors performance to clinical quality targets, developing plans to address gaps using rigorous quality improvement methods. The position also involves sharing nursing results with board members, developing strategic plans, and ensuring nursing strategies align with organizational objectives. The role leads to an environment of clinical excellence and supports interprofessional, team-based improvement initiatives, striving to maintain or work towards Magnet status. Additionally, the position interprets and complies with all relevant laws and regulations, develops strong physician relationships, and oversees the administration of policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Master's Degree in any field OR Bachelor's Degree in any field with a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN).
  • Typically requires 15 years of experience in nursing and health care administration.
  • 5 plus years of management experience in management of staff and budgets.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Skills in developing, facilitating, and leading nursing programs and initiatives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of effective best practices in nursing operations.
