About The Position

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Cooper University Health Care plays a pivotal role in shaping nursing practice and patient care services within the organization. This leadership position focuses on delivering exceptional patient-centered care while fostering a healthy work environment for nursing staff. The CNO is responsible for promoting evidence-based practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing budgets effectively. Additionally, the CNO supports professional development and mentorship for nursing staff, collaborates with executive management on strategic planning, and advocates for a culture of accountability and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in nursing/health care management.
  • Minimum of 2 years at the senior nursing leadership level or Associate CNO level.
  • Strong knowledge of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) leadership competencies.
  • Master's degree in nursing required; Doctorate degree in nursing preferred.
  • Current NJ-RN license.
  • Certification in nursing administration desirable.
