About The Position

CoxHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for our Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital. Our facility is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges due to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. This position also qualifies for our Loan Repayment Assistance program after the first 90 days of full-time employment.

Requirements

  • BSN required.
  • MSN or equivalent Masters in Healthcare or enrollment in a Masters program required.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience required.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity required.
  • Certified BLS completed on date of hire required.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of RN experience in rehabilitation nursing preferred.
  • CRRN required when eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the oversight and establishment of best practices and standards for hospital clinical services.
  • Manage nursing teams to provide the highest quality of care and service for patients.
  • Coordinate nursing with other patient care and support functions to assure optimum delivery of health care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in establishing standards for nursing and other clinical services.
  • Steer progressive clinical excellence through staff development.
  • Share responsibility for employee engagement, recruitment, and retention.
  • Provide nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions.
  • Assign nursing personnel and serve as a resource person and consultant.
  • Implement company standards of care, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Create and implement schedules for safe staffing.
  • Work collaboratively with hospital leadership and other departments to achieve the best patient outcomes.
