About The Position

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Select Specialty/Regency Hospitals is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing clinical operations and ensuring high-quality patient care in a critical illness recovery hospital. The CNO collaborates with the CEO and HR leaders to enhance both employee and patient experiences, while also managing staffing, budgets, and fostering a supportive work culture. This position requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to lead a skilled clinical team effectively.

Requirements

• BSN required; MSN or equivalent Masters in Healthcare or enrollment in a Master's program required.
• Three to five years of hospital nursing experience required; three or more years' experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with vents, hemodynamics, critical drips, ET Tubes, and wounds.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and Human Resources leader to enhance employee and patient experiences.
• Resolve staffing ratios and work with senior nursing staff to improve quality of care.
• Engage with regional leaders on staffing initiatives and lead educational programs for new graduates and re-entry nurses.
• Ensure fiscal responsibility by meeting budgets and controlling costs within the hospital.
• Create a supportive and engaging culture for employees.
