About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Our team plays a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care during some of the most vulnerable moments of our patients' lives. We are looking for a Chief Nursing Officer who will be a Champion of the Select Medical Way, which includes putting the patient first, improving quality of life for the community, and continuing to develop and explore new ideas. As the clinical leader, you will collaborate with the CEO and Human Resources leader to enhance both employee and patient experiences, lead a highly skilled clinical team, and ensure fiscal responsibility within the hospital.

Requirements

  • BSN required; MSN or equivalent Masters in Healthcare or enrollment in a Master's program required (exceptions approved by SVP, Clinical Operations).
  • Three to five years of hospital nursing experience required; three or more years' experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vents, hemodynamics, critical drips, ET Tubes, and wounds.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO and Human Resources leader to tackle problems and enhance employee and patient experiences.
  • Lead a highly skilled clinical team and work with respiratory and rehabilitation departments.
  • Resolve staffing ratios and work with senior nursing staff to improve the quality of care.
  • Engage with regional leaders on staffing initiatives and lead educational programs for new graduates and re-entry nurses.
  • Ensure that budgets are met and costs are controlled within the hospital.
  • Create a supportive and engaging culture for employees.
