About The Position

The Market Chief Nursing Executive (CNE) is responsible for the development, support, training, and expertise in clinical areas for the assigned market. This role involves collaborating with regional management to establish standardized clinical policies and procedures that align with the company's mission and goals. The CNE acts as a resource bridging clinical and operational domains, ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance across market hospitals.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Master of Health Administration (MHA), Master of Business Administration, or Master of Public Health required.
  • Registered Nurse in the state required.
  • Five years of experience in clinical management and leadership positions with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience with multi-facility responsibilities is required.
  • Prefer experience as a seasoned Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) or Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing and implementing quality and safety goals for nursing.
  • Strong understanding of electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the ongoing practice of the system mission, vision, and values for nursing across the market hospitals.
  • Collaborates with Regional Leadership to adapt the National Quality Program and advance towards a Highly Reliable Organization (HRO).
  • Leads the development, alignment, and communication of market-wide nursing strategy to meet regulatory requirements and provide quality care.
  • Monitors operational goals related to staffing, drives performance, and provides guidance as needed.
  • Leads the development and implementation of quality and safety goals for nursing across the market.
  • Monitors individual hospital and market-wide performance against targets and intervenes with hospital leadership as necessary.
  • Provides centralized management of key areas to ensure resource availability to all hospitals in the market.
  • Develops the annual education and competency plan for nursing in conjunction with individual hospital nurse leaders.
  • Participates in budget planning related to staffing, compensation, and workflow benchmarks.
  • Drives leadership development and capacity across the market, promoting succession planning and professional development.
  • Ensures a well-organized nursing service with clear administrative authority and responsibilities for patient care.
  • Serves as a coach and mentor for hospital CCOs and Directors of Nursing, assisting leaders facing challenges.
  • Develops standardized programs and systems to help facilities meet regulatory requirements and provide quality care.
  • Performs clinical analysis of quality outcomes and compliance through on-site visits and report reviews.
  • Reviews and analyzes research data regarding clinical processes for cost-effective process improvement.
