About The Position

The Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform nuclear medicine procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury. Performs nuclear medicine procedures as prescribed by a physician. Follows established techniques and methods in operating equipment and processing images. Ensures technical quality of images and exercises judgment in processing assigned workload. Assists the Imaging Facility Manager in the coordination of patient care and workflow activities of the specific modality.

Requirements

  • Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) registry (or must be registry-eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment in technologist position)
  • Ability to start and maintain an IV
  • Knowledge of nuclear medicine technology principles and procedures, normally acquired through completion of approved nuclear medicine technology training program
