Work Shift: (Full-time, 40 hrs. per week), days, evenings, on call rotational coverage and some weekends may be needed. Work Location: University of Miami Health System at UTower - Radiology Imaging Services CORE JOB FUNCTIONS Performs all duties of Level I, II & III technologist. Supervises imaging services, including performance or supervision of tests, and daily management of assigned personnel. Assists in compilation of statistical data for departmental evaluation purposes. Establish and maintain modality accreditation certifications. Contributions to the preparation of the annual departmental budget and development of administrative and operational policies, procedures, and regulations. Responsible for hire, discipline, and promotion of department staff. Obtains and examines the diagnostic orders for appropriateness to the type of exam ordered and any special notes or comments. Coordinate/manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures. Collaborates in the development of in-service training for departmental staff. Completes yearly performance appraisals for the staff and handles requests for merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology /Diagnostic Imaging Program.
  • Must possess a valid State of Florida License with two or more advanced certifications required beyond the ARRT (R) certification.
  • CPR and BLS certification required.
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
  • Mammography (M)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
  • Nuclear Medicine (N) or equivalent NMTCB
  • Ultrasound (S) or equivalent RDMS
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
