About The Position

By 1966 Dr. Taylor was joined by Dr. Harris Knudson and Dr. James Lum and the 3 formed Taylor, Knudson & Lum. In 1969 Dr. Francis Esposito joined the practice, followed by Dr. Richard Ellis and Dr. Paul Bandt in 1971. By the mid 1970s, the location was expanded and renamed to Desert Radiologists. in 1987 it was relocated to 2020 Palomino Lane, and still operates in this location today. In 2017, the practice name was officially changed to Desert Radiology. We are also proud to support many local non-profit organizations, including City Impact Center, Project 150, Opportunity Village, the American Lung Association of Southern Nevada, Shriner's Hospital for Children, Veteran's Village, Susan G. Komen, St. Jude's Children Research Hospital and many more. DR also has partnerships with numerous athletic groups such as the Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas Aces, Las Vegas Lights FC, Las Vegas Aviators, Las Vegas Raiders, Las Vegas Knight Hawks and many, many more sports teams. Requirements

  • Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
  • Knowledge of basic radiologic methods and techniques such as chest, upper and lower gastrointestinal, planigram, fluoroscopic and skeletal procedures normally acquired through completion of twenty-four month radiologic technology training program.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the initial contact for modality-specific issues.
  • Monitoring/troubleshooting issues related to workflow, work processes, and backlog.
  • Providing timely feedback to the Imaging Facility Managers regarding modality-specific issues.
  • Responsible for Updating Modality Specific Protocols and Policies.
  • Quality Control of Modality (Monitoring Teammates Quality).
  • Training new staff members.
  • Continuing Education for Modality (example: New Procedures, New Technology, Refresher Training for struggling teammates).
