Position Summary: The Chief Technologist will report to the Director Radiology, manages daily operations of the Radiology MRI Department to include the technical services of the MRI department . The Chief Technologist will also perform MRI procedures, serve as the MR Safety Officer (MRSO), and ensure appropriate documentation and reporting is completed. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiological Technology with certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
ARRT (MR) upon hire
MRSO certification within one year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

Manages daily operations of the Radiology MRI Department to include the technical services of the MRI department
Perform MRI procedures
Serve as the MR Safety Officer (MRSO)
Ensure appropriate documentation and reporting is completed
Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team
Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values
