Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in steelmaking, steelmaking process optimization, and/or product development preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related technical degree.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Quality Assurance department.
• Develop an effective strategy incorporating all departments to achieve the quality goals of the division.
• Act as a technical resource involved in new product development.
• Evaluate and resolve customer claims.
• Review product inquiries and conduct failure analysis.
• Coordinate continuous improvement projects and support production teams.
• Inspire participation in the safety program by Q/A teammates.
• Serve as a main point of contact for customers, providing technical support.
• Seek new business opportunities and conduct educational programs.
• Champion a continuous improvement mindset and facilitate quality management system certification programs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
