About The Position

Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley (NHCLV) is seeking a full-time Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join our growing team! The CMO is responsible for directing, evaluating and coordinating medical services as the clinical director of the NHCLV, including developing clinical operating plans and procedures; assisting in policy development, evaluating clinical standards, establishing training programs, and direct patient care. The CMO serves as the collaborating physician to NPs/PAs. The CMO seeks opportunities to enhance on-site services and referral sources utilizing community resources. This is a summary of the job and not a full job description. Full credentialing is required for this position which includes but not limited to background clearances and immunization requirements. PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal and FBI Clearances.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree and board certified in their specialty.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Must have knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
  • Experienced in governmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Skilled in planning, organizing, prioritizing, delegating and supervising, as well as, exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making. Demonstrated ability to anticipate and react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public. Experienced in developing comprehensive reports, and in analyzing and interpreting complex data.
  • Must have at least 4 years of management experience in healthcare and be a strong advocate for the primary healthcare needs of targeted population.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with a culturally diverse population.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English required.
  • PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal and FBI Clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with fiscal management and human resource management techniques
  • Knowledge of health care administration systems preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a changing environment.
