Requirements

• Doctorate - Medical Doctor, or Doctorate - Osteopathic Medicine
• Minimum 10 years Physician Practice
• Medical Board License

Responsibilities

• Uphold the strong relationship between the medical staff and the information services department, ensuring effective communication and appropriate translation of interests.
• Act as an expert advisor to information services, partnering with the applications team to ensure the quality and effectiveness of clinical care systems across the health system.
• Contribute to IT strategic planning in partnership with physicians, overseeing medical informatics and supervising physician informaticists.
• Provide oversight for the health system's telemedicine initiatives and lead physician clinical technology adoption, contributing to EMR optimization priorities.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to optimize clinical decision support tools and standardize clinical practices, procedures, and processes.
• Promote physician use of health information data exchange between BayCare and other providers, leading the clinical system steering committee to ensure new IT systems are enterprise-driven with defined measures of success.
• Partner with the leader of the digital health council to bring new technology to the organization.
