About The Position

The Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Blessing Health System will provide clinical leadership for the strategic implementation and optimization of health information technologies. This role aims to enhance patient-centered care by aligning technology solutions with clinical goals, improving data integration, and enhancing both provider and patient experiences. The CMIO will also engage in clinical practice, contributing to patient care while maintaining insight into clinical workflows and the impact of health IT on front-line care.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with active licensure and board certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical practice experience.
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and data analytics.
• Solid understanding of data governance, interoperability, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience in clinical informatics or health information technology leadership is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Additional certification or fellowship training in Clinical Informatics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for the implementation and optimization of health information technologies.
• Collaborate with the CMO, CIO, and other executive and medical staff leaders.
• Work closely with clinical, information system, and administrative teams to align technology solutions with clinical goals.
• Improve data integration and accessibility to enhance provider and patient experiences.
• Engage in clinical practice to contribute to patient care and maintain insight into clinical workflows.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects effectively.
