About The Position

The Miami-Dade County People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) is seeking an executive level professional responsible to provide strategic management and oversight over the administrative and legislative activities within the Director's Office and coordinate same responsibilities Department-wide. This position will supervise administrative functions with specific focus on improving operations, efficiency, and ensuring strategic goals and priorities are met. Duties include planning, overseeing policy and legislative activities, managing the tracking of all Department assignments and correspondence, developing engagement strategies through Department divisions, performance administration, and providing oversight and guidance to projects of high importance. Additional responsibilities include the management of assignments from the Deputy Director to staff, special projects, research, performance auditing, constituent affairs, and ensuring excellent customer service and engagement strategies. This position will also be overseeing communications with external stakeholders.
