About The Position

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Prospera Credit Union is a pivotal role that reports directly to the CEO. This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall direction for the credit union's human resource programs, which encompass Learning and Development, Benefits and Compensation Management, Team Member Experience, and Talent Planning and Management. The CHRO ensures compliance with credit union policies while delivering an exceptional member experience. This role requires a strategic senior leader with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record in fostering organizational growth. As a critical member of the executive team, the CHRO will stay informed about emerging trends and develop strategies that align with the credit union's vision, brand promise, and guiding principles. The CHRO will monitor local, regional, economic, financial, industry, and political events that could impact the credit union. They will bring an innovative approach to staffing and will actively engage with the senior leadership team to implement organizational strategies, drive a positive corporate culture, and achieve a balanced scorecard. A key focus will be on promoting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility (DEIBA) within the organization, ensuring that solutions are developed to meet community needs. Collaboration with both internal and external partners will be essential to formulate strong partnerships that support the success of existing products and services while meeting strategic objectives. The role is divided into several key areas of responsibility: Learning and Development (30%), where the CHRO will build a high-performing organizational team through a comprehensive learning and development plan; Talent Planning and Management (25%), focusing on recruiting, acquiring, engaging, and retaining talent; Team Member Experience (20%), which involves driving organizational behaviors and values while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusivity; Compensation and Benefits Management (15%), where the CHRO will develop and maintain a competitive compensation model; and HR Administration and Management (10%), overseeing HR staff and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
