The Chief Human Resources Officer will be responsible for Strategic and Operational leadership of Human Resources in a designated region, reporting to the regional CEO and serving as a member of the Regional Leadership Team. This role strategically aligns HR programs, services, and initiatives to support the region and the entire health system, overseeing operational aspects of HR service delivery in the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, labor relations or related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of Human Resource management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience as a member of leadership and operating as a business partner.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to represent the function with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Advanced business and analytical skills to develop and implement HR strategies.
  • Extensive knowledge of organization behavior and employee development.
  • Experience operating as a change agent and empowering employees.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced (Master's) Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a regional HR strategic plan and supporting service strategy in collaboration with Regional CEO and Business Unit Leaders.
  • Lead a team of CHROs in the delivery of HR services to the respective region.
  • Ensure accountability of services and support from System Office-managed HR specialty areas.
  • Analyze and evaluate changes to existing HR strategies, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Engage with regional leadership to develop action plans focused on improving work relationships and employee engagement.
  • Communicate significant changes in HR policies and programs to Regional CEO and leadership.
  • Partner with regional leaders to identify local business needs regarding compensation and benefits.
  • Lead efforts to analyze and evaluate results of employee and executive performance management processes.
  • Provide context/analytic support to business leaders regarding HR operations.
  • Collaborate with Regional Business Leaders and HR Leaders for due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Support Culture, Change & Engagement plans and consult on design and development of programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations to ensure adherence.
