Mercy BioAnalytics, Inc. is a biotechnology company committed to reducing suffering and saving lives through the early detection of cancer. We have developed a novel liquid biopsy approach that measures co-localized biomarkers on the surface of tumor-derived extracellular vesicles. We have initially deployed this technology in two clinical programs: one for the detection of ovarian cancer in asymptomatic post-menopausal women, and one for the detection of lung cancer in average and high-risk individuals. Our ovarian cancer program has demonstrated significantly superior sensitivity and specificity vs currently available technologies in multiple independent clinical cohorts, and we are now preparing for initial market access as we continue to engage with key external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, payers, guidelines groups, and patient advocates. Mercy is well-funded, with top-tier venture capital partners, an exceptional group of clinical advisors, and a mission-oriented management team with a track record of success. We are looking for a passionate individual to join our mission as the Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will be a key business and thought partner to the CEO, Board of Directors and the executive leadership team by leading and managing the global financial and administrative functions for the company. The CFO provides strategic, financial and operational support and serves as the chief financial spokesperson for the organization. The CFO reports directly to the CEO and assists the management team on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, financial compliance, investments, engagement with strategic partners, and securing new funding. The company has recently raised a $59M Series B round of funding and is working on a go-to-market plan for an imminent commercial launch. To support this next phase of growth the company seeks a CFO to take on a broad array of responsibilities within the company to build out commercial infrastructure, support the sales, manufacturing, marketing, engagement with strategic partners and most importantly partner with the CEO. This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the success of a truly transformational company.
