We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Chief Financial Officer to oversee the financial operations of our organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and growth of our Center by providing expert analysis, ensuring compliance, and supporting key economic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare comprehensive financial analyses of operations to guide management decision-making. - Contribute to the development of major economic objectives and policies for the Center. - Prepare reports outlining the organization’s financial position based on historical, current, and projected operations. - Administer the organization’s budget throughout the fiscal year, ensuring disbursements align with approved budgets. - Establish and maintain internal controls for all financial procedures within the Center. - Review all tax returns and cost reports for accuracy and compliance. - Coordinate the annual financial audit, including Medicaid and Medicare audits. - Review payroll changes to ensure compliance with the annual budget. - Sign and validate expense checks, ensuring proper authorization and accuracy. - Deliver up to date reports to CEO and Board members - Maintaining adequate insurance coverage for the Center Key Competencies: - Informational: Knowledge of the Center’s financial system principles and practices; of General Accounting Principles; of general office software and the Great Plains system; of budgeting processes; of audit process requirements; of financial statements; of monitoring and records systems for internal control. - Interpersonal: Capable of communicating clearly; of making presentation to the Board of Directors, senior staff and departmental personnel; of engaging board members and senior staff; of coordinating staff activities, audits and report production; of managing staff and taking an active interest in their professional development. - Intellectual: Able to analyze financial data; to interpret statutes, regulations and policies; to problem solve individually and with staff members as a team; to conduct research and to design and assign special projects; to make recommendation to the Chief Executive Officer and to senior staff.
