Niyam is seeking a full time Chief Financial Offer to join our team. This position is hybrid to Fairfax, VA. The Chief Financial Offer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • Eight to Ten years of experience in financial management for a government contractor
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to go onsite to Fairfax, VA office location as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
  • Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
  • Advisor and Strategic partner to CEO.
  • Lead Company’s financial functions (implement best practices in terms of Payroll, Invoicing, Project financial data reporting, timesheets, tracking direct cost, indirect cost, monthly Accounts payable report, receivables report, Quarter balance sheets, P&L, expense tracking, bookkeeping etc.).
  • Participate in corporate strategy shaping.
  • Oversee and support traditional accounting operations in alignment with established accounting practices and procedures.
  • Create and maintain financial planning processes (including evaluating strengths and weaknesses).
  • Create financial Key Performance Indicators to drive business performance.
  • Support Business Development (Pricing strategy for proposals, LCAT/Rates etc) and Operations leaders in their duties and provide information for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Oversee tax, internal audit, M&As.
  • Oversee cash & liquidity management.
  • Oversee financial risk management.
  • Drive and administer key corporate financial initiatives, including corporate credit card management.
  • Oversee financial reporting.
  • Lead vendor management (for example - retirement plans/funds).
  • Perform accounting tasks in the absence of Controller, Accounting Manager, etc.
