About The Position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be critical to driving TOMS' overall growth and success by overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, and fostering a culture of financial excellence. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be an integral part of the senior leadership team, which sets the tone for the rest of the organization - both in working as a team and in embodying TOMS' core values and operating principles.

Requirements

• Significant operational, financial planning, and Board reporting experience, including prior CFO experience.
• Experience with raising and managing debt and equity financing.
• Must be a strategic thinker who understands the business ramifications of financial decisions.
• Experience working successfully with operationally focused private equity investors and a professional Board of Directors.
• Success building strong operating processes and financial planning with less sophisticated infrastructure.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of successful finance and operations strategies and systems.
• Strong record in cost and expense management and in improving a company's overall profitability.
• Experience optimizing talent and workforce management.
• A high level of learning agility with the ability to translate conceptual strategies into execution plans.
• Strong understanding of and experience with ERP reporting systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal & management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of the company's financial and budgetary controls and reporting systems.
• Oversee the functions of controllership, financial reporting, treasury, financial planning & analysis functions, and taxation.
• Work with the executive team to establish reliable financial and accounting systems and consistent policies.
• Actively manage costs in the organization and propose ideas on how to streamline the business.
• Lead the senior leadership team's collaborative strategic planning and budgeting process.
• Oversee broad financial management including operational finance, financial systems, treasury, financial planning & analysis, tax, controllership, audit, cost initiatives, finance team, and processes.
• Build profitability analysis and P&L by channel and product.
• Design and build a financial planning and analysis function to partner across TOMS' business functions.
• Drive continuous improvement in all financial processes, leveraging technology and staffing resources.
• Measure and manage near and long-term liquidity and forecast cash flows.
• Oversee lender relationships and ensure continuous compliance with credit terms.
• Lead the company's global tax planning and compliance functions.
• Help ensure that TOMS is an easy company to do business with through rational policies, efficient processes, and clear communications.
