About The Position

We are seeking a highly capable, experienced CPA to lead the tax function across multiple entities while serving as a trusted financial partner to the owner. This is a unique role combining Head of Tax and Personal CFO responsibilities. You will oversee tax operations across growing bookkeeping platforms while also managing financial visibility, reporting, and strategic insight across a portfolio of businesses. This is not a 9–5 role — it requires ownership, accountability, and someone who takes full responsibility for outcomes.

Requirements

CPA license (required)
8–10+ years of tax experience
Deep experience with both business and individual tax returns
Strong knowledge of real estate tax
Experience reviewing high volumes of returns and managing quality control
Prior experience managing or overseeing a team
Comfortable working across multiple entities and complex financial structures

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the full tax function across multiple entities
Review, finalize, and file all business and individual tax returns
Oversee and manage a team of accountants
Serve as the signing CPA on tax filings
Act as a personal CFO to the owner across multiple businesses
Review financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) prepared by bookkeeping teams
Deliver clear monthly financial reporting and insights
Track overall financial performance across entities (profitability, cash flow, net worth trends)
Communicate directly with high-level clients on complex tax matters
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality control across all tax work
Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities
