About The Position

Brandywine Treatment Center is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its senior leadership team. The CFO will play a crucial role in the financial and functional decision-making processes necessary for achieving the facility's operational and financial goals. This position is responsible for the overall financial operations and day-to-day fiscal management of the facility. The CFO will ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and preparation of corporate required reports. Additionally, the CFO will oversee the Revenue Cycle operations, ensuring timely collections and minimal uncompensated care, while maintaining compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field with a major in Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years successful CFO experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous Behavioral healthcare experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with a proprietary healthcare system highly preferred.
  • CPA or Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven financial analysis skills.
  • Experience with information technology and proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and physicians.
  • Ability to lead with emotional intelligence and ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly in compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare corporate required reports including Monthly Operating Report and Forecasts.
  • Ensure all accounting and business office policies are in place for a clean audit.
  • Direct operations of the Revenue Cycle to ensure timely collections and minimize uncompensated care.
  • Review revenue cycle metrics to identify and address performance issues.
  • Ensure Front End Revenue Cycle processes are in place, including insurance verification for all patients.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and managed care reimbursement methodologies.
  • Facilitate preparation of required cost reports.
  • Supervise Accounting, Patient Accounting, Health Information Management, and other departments as assigned.
  • Prepare annual operating budget and participate in strategic planning.
  • Provide ongoing analysis of budget variances and assist in implementing changes.
  • Prepare annual capital budgets and ensure accurate recording of assets and depreciation.
