About The Position

CLA is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) in Phoenix, AZ. The CFO will play a crucial role in transforming client businesses through effective financial management, strategic planning, and risk mitigation. This position involves collaborating with clients to set financial policies, drive capital planning, and oversee budgeting and financial administration, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting services.

Requirements

  • Eight years of relative accounting and/or financial experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required; a combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Accounting and/or operational experience in the Dental Industry is required.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage Intacct preferred but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Analytics, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Project management and client management experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous public accounting experience preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and skilled in multitasking.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in project management and client management.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CFO functions as part of the client's accounting services team.
  • Identify and implement best practices related to the services provided to add value to the client.
  • Work with clients to set financial policy and actively participate in overall strategy.
  • Drive capital planning, risk management, ratio and KPI analysis, and board of director interactions.
  • Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting.
  • Oversee longer-term budget planning and cost management.
  • Monitor progress of budgets and present operational metrics.
