About The Position

The CEO will lead a 20-year-old defense contractor specializing in SETA support across the U.S. Marine Corps, Army, and CBRNE joint enterprise. The CEO will guide the next phase of expansion by strengthening customer intimacy, deepening partnerships across the defense ecosystem, and driving disciplined, strategic growth while preserving the company’s culture of integrity and service. Company Size: Small – Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business Industry: Defense Contracting (SETA Support, Logistics, Engineering, Acquisition, Program Management) Operating Footprint: Multiple states + select international locations Primary Customers: U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, Joint CBRNE community, other DoD organizations

Requirements

  • Executive leadership experience within the defense contracting industry, ideally in SETA or professional services.
  • Demonstrated success leading or scaling a small-to-mid-sized federal contractor with distributed operations.
  • Strong relationships within DoD communities, with a deep understanding of their missions and acquisition environments.
  • Proven track record in business development, capture, and strategic growth.
  • Expertise in federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and competitive dynamics.
  • Ability to lead a geographically dispersed workforce and maintain a cohesive, mission-focused culture.
  • Active Secret or higher or the ability to acquire a Top Secret.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior executive interface with DoD leadership, program managers, and contracting officers.
  • Build and sustain long-term, trust-based relationships that reinforce the company’s reputation for reliability and mission alignment.
  • Ensure the company anticipates customer needs and delivers high-quality SETA support that advances mission outcomes.
  • Lead the development and execution of a growth strategy focused on expanding within existing customers and entering new DoD markets.
  • Oversee capture, proposal, and competitive positioning for new and recompete opportunities.
  • Evaluate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and potential acquisitions that enhance capabilities or expand market access.
  • Lead a geographically distributed workforce across multiple states and international locations, ensuring consistent culture, communication, and performance.
  • Collaborate with the executive team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the company maintains high standards of ethics, compliance, and operational discipline.
  • Oversee P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to support sustainable growth.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, cybersecurity requirements, export controls, and all relevant federal regulations.
  • Provide transparent reporting and strategic insight to the Chairman.
