About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; degree in Healthcare Administration preferred
  • Preferred Fellow American College of Healthcare Executives Certificate
  • Support CMH’s mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy
  • Adhere to the CMH Compliance Program
  • Assures/maintains compliance with all accreditation, statutory and regulatory standards at the local, state, and federal levels
  • Maintains in current status, licenses/certifications and memberships in applicable professional organizations
  • Participates in department meetings by attending team business meetings and offering ideas/solutions in problem-solving situations/activities
  • Comply with all organizational policies
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service/advocacy, professionalism, and integrity

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development and implementation of CMH strategic planning, operational planning, and values implementation programs.
  • Participates with members of the governing body, management, medical staff, and clinical areas in CHM decision-making structures and processes.
  • Responsible for the planning, administration, coordination, and evaluation of all direct reporting departments/services.
  • Creates a work atmosphere that encourages team members to reach their full potential.
  • Participates in developing hospital-wide patient care programs, policies, and procedures that document how patient’s nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and achieved.
  • Attends Medical Staff Committees and various organizational/management meetings regularly to enhance collaboration and communication.
  • Assures Human Resources and Administrative Policies and Procedures are appropriately administered with the organization and compliance with regulating agencies’ standards.
  • Analyzes operations to evaluate performance of the Hospital and its staff in meeting objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, and policy changes.
  • Confers with board members, organization officials, and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problems.
  • Reviews submitted reports in order to recommend approval or to suggest changes.
  • Reviews and analyzes legislation, laws, and public policy and recommends changes to promote and support the interest of both the community and the hospital.
  • Interacts with community leaders and organizations to promote the hospital.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as recommended by the Board of Managers.
