About The Position

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in a nonprofit or similar organization.
• Strong fundraising skills and experience in donor engagement.
• Ability to manage a large organization and oversee diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in animal welfare or related fields.
• Background in wildlife rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with public service loan forgiveness programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the organization with an operating budget of approximately $9 million.
• Oversee a staff of 90 during high season and a large active volunteer base.
• Engage with major donors and cultivate relationships to secure financial support.
• Report to the 23-member Board of Directors.
• Further the organization's mission and ensure its stability.
