About The Position

S. Clyde Weaver is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization through its next phase of growth. This role is ideal for a visionary, strategic leader with proven experience scaling businesses, expanding into new markets, and driving operational excellence. The CEO will define and execute the company’s growth plan, build high-performing teams, and strengthen our market position. This position is based out of our East Petersburg PA office location. Candidates must be able to commute to this location daily or be able to relocate to this area prior to starting. Remote work is not available for this position. About Us S. Clyde Weaver is a fourth-generation family-run business operating for over 100 years with two brick and mortar locations in the Lancaster County area as well as in nine farmers’ markets across Pennsylvania. Our mission is to enhance the lives of our community, customers, and employees by selling high quality specialty meats, cheeses, and regional fare. S. Clyde Weaver also imports and wholesales gold medal award winning Canadian Cheddar cheese.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 15+ years of related experience, preferably in a retail sales environment.
  • 10+ years in multiple management and leadership roles with demonstrated progressive increase in responsibilities.
  • Proven experience with leading a company through significant growth and experience scaling a business – preferably in high-growth.
  • Strategic planning and execution and ability to implement a long-term vision and plan.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the proven ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • Detail oriented, creative, and highly organized self-starter with a demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Proven decision making and analytical skills along with strong financial acumen.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; experience in organizing and presenting complex information.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Willingness to work flexible and extended hours as required including some travel as needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
  • Visionary mindset with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage complex growth budgets.
  • Ability to cultivate innovation and maintain momentum in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail food industry experience a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Experience participating in and/or reporting to a board a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy focused on market expansion, product innovation, and revenue diversification.
  • Identify new opportunities—including markets, partnerships, and lines of business—to support long-term scaling.
  • Lead long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment across the executive team and broader organization.
  • Build and refine systems, processes, and procedures that ensure the organization can scale quickly and sustainably.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive movements to guide company strategy.
  • Define market positioning and ensure products/services remain differentiated and competitive.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing executive team that embodies a culture of accountability, innovation, and ownership.
  • Foster a positive, mission-driven culture aligned to company values and growth goals.
  • Clearly communicate vision, strategy, and performance metrics across the organization.
  • Represent the company both in local community as well as at various industry conferences and events.
  • Drive operational improvements that support scalability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee financial planning to ensure consistent, profitable growth.
  • Ensure strong financial health through both organic growth initiatives and strategic investments.
  • Oversee and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk for the company.
  • Partner with, and work with senior leadership team, to maintain strategic alignment and transparent communication with respective departments and farmer’s market/retail locations.
