We are seeking a Chief Engineer to join the amazing Greensprings Vacation Resort with 296 units, located near the Historic Area of Williamsburg, Virginia. Become part of our passionate 45 team member family, where we strive for excellence to ensure our owners and guests have a great vacation, while building hospitality skills with Hilton Grand Vacations. As Chief Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining Resort Facilities and Preview Center, including physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment in accordance with the energy conservation and preventative maintenance program. Responsibilities include: Ensure the upkeep of the landscaping and guest areas to maintain an attractive property. Manage all rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects. As a Director, in addition to leading assigned site, overview preview center Actively chairs frequent Engineering collaboration meetings in TEAMS driving business results. Assist in task force assignments, new openings, transitions/conversions, and special projects as assigned. Mentor other Chief Engineer(s) and Assistant Engineers(s). Promotes a culture of professionalism, efficiency, clear expectations, and results. Assist in preparing PDP’s and help craft succession plans. Provides area expertise and assists with all strategies

Requirements

At least five years of experience as journey mechanic or engineer with a class A hotel company or related industry.
At least 2 years’ experience as a Director or Assistant Director/Chief Engineer in the same or similar environment.
Extensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to analyze their design intent and performance.
Ability to analyze trends in utility consumption to ensure proper energy forecasting and to set up energy conservation programs.
Ability to write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff.
Technical Diploma preferred

Nice To Haves

General practical experience in the fields of stationary engineering, building maintenance, plumbing, and electrical wiring.
7+ years related experience.
Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders and rooftops, and in adverse weather conditions.
Considerable knowledge of construction and building systems.
