About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of the maintenance staff responsible for maintaining and repairing the physical structures of hotel buildings and grounds. This role involves directing and training staff in various maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing inventory and purchasing of tools and supplies.

Requirements

• Experience in maintenance and repair of hotel facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains hotel staff in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings.
• Directs ground maintenance activities, including mowing lawns and trimming hedges.
• Oversees general cleaning and upkeep of hotel buildings.
• Assists other departments by moving furniture and unloading supplies as needed.
• Inventories, requisitions, and purchases tools and supplies according to guidelines.
• Inspects completed work for conformance to standards and specifications.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for job assignments.
• Interprets company policies and enforces safety regulations.
• Adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Suggests changes to improve efficiency and working conditions.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, assisting staff as necessary.
• Initiates plans to motivate staff to achieve work goals.
• Coordinates activities with other supervisors.
• Performs activities of the maintenance department and runs errands for supplies.
