About The Position
Chelsea Piers is seeking a hard-working and dedicated Chief Engineer to join our Property Management team. You will be responsible for performing a variety of work requiring the knowledge of one or more skilled trades to resolve operational and/or safety concerns. The Chief Engineer will directly manage a team of skilled tradespeople and will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment, and systems across the Chelsea Piers properties with the goal of obtaining the most efficient operating results and life expectancy. You will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operated and maintained in an energy efficient and safe manner, anticipating necessary repairs, and keeping records of past operating experiences. You will also perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
