The Chief Engineer advises and controls the Engineering operations within the resort, which includes the daily supervision of mechanical, structural, electrical, and other-related maintenance systems. In this position you will work with the Resort Leadership Team to develop maintenance programs; engage team members; maintain accurate budget; and find opportunities that better equip the organization to achieve its established annual business goals. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+Years of engineering experience in hotels or related industry.
  • 3-5+Years of managerial in the same or similar environment.
  • EPA – OSHA 10-30 – CPO certifications.
  • HVAC – Electrical – plumbing specific.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible Schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Completes property repairs and manages capital projects with company guidelines.
  • Guides and strengthens team members for future career opportunities.
  • Develops and completes the pivotal initiatives for the Engineering department, and makes adjustments to the operations in order to meet the strategic goals and interests of Resort Operations
  • Ensure that the property’s Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness Plan(s) are updated and current at all times.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of operating supplies, and ensures that proper purchasing procedures are followed to maintain an adequate supply. Ensures all assets of the department, equipment, supplies and storage are properly locked and secured.
  • Handles relationships, contracts, compliance, and interface issues with the operation’s business supporters and suppliers to ensure business needs and financial responsibilities are handled in a timely manner
  • Performs other related activities as required.
