About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and hands on Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and overall condition of the hotel. The role is best suited for someone that takes ownership of their work, stays organized, and can manage daily maintenance needs without constant direction. The ideal candidate is proactive, solution focused, and able to prioritize tasks while keeping the building operating safely and efficiently. Midas Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee our maintenance department at the Fairfield Inn & Suites hotel located in Wentzville, MO. This person will oversee all aspects of the hotel maintenance department including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems and preventive maintenance program. Requirements
- At least 2 years of facilities experience
- Experience in a management position
- Takes pride in keeping the property in good condition
Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general repairs)
- Responds to maintenance requests received from Front Desk or Housekeeping.
- Monitoring the buildings systems and addressing issues promptly.
- Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
- Maintaining an organized workspace and maintenance office.
- Tracking work orders
- Coordinating with Vendors when needed
- Pool chemical testing
