About The Position
The Chief Engineer will oversee all tradesmen responsible for the maintenance of all mechanical systems at JLL. Coordinates, interprets, and maintains and repairs facility equipment, including but not limited to switch gear, panel boards, distribution, lighting and lighting control equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, Life Safety systems, etc. at the facility to ensure continuous and proper operation in the most economical fashion. Supervisory responsibilities: This position supervises full-time Local 94 engineers. There may be part time supervision of other staff members as well as vendors. This position will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state laws. Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited, to training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
