GDMS has an immediate opening for the Autonomous Maritime Platforms (AMP) Chief Engineer. Our team works closely with our Navy customers, Government laboratories, and industry partners to develop, deploy, and sustain autonomous undersea vehicles and weapon systems in defense of our nation, allies, and partners. The selected candidate will lead definition of technical strategies and solutions within our AMP business segment. The mission demands we deliver advanced capabilities for our warfighters through high-reliability, affordable, cyber-resilient systems. As the AMP Chief Engineer, you will lead development of technical roadmaps and hold final technical authority over the design, production, installation, and activation of systems that satisfy our customers’ functional, behavioral, affordability, interface, and operational requirements. In this role, you will work closely with our Business Development organization to understand customer needs and present conceptual solutions aligned with GDMS capabilities. You will also drive consistent implementation of design-to-cost processes and work to optimize these processes to sharpen competitiveness.
