About The Position

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. This Chief Engineer Advisor position offers a profound impact on protecting national security by contributing to innovative projects at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT, and cybersecurity solutions. The role involves being part of a dynamic, collaborative, and intellectually stimulating team, with contributions pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems for national security and the future of space defense.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a related field
  • 15+ years' related experience with 5 years in a SAP/SCI environment
  • Current/active Top Secret/SCI
  • Current or recent DoD SAP access
  • Subject to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40hrs

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key advisor and subject matter expert, providing strategic recommendations and technical guidance to program staff, senior leadership, and executive stakeholders.
  • Architect and deliver resilient, secure, and scalable solutions for classified SAP cloud environments, including IL4–IL6, SAP/SCI, and hybrid cloud integrations.
  • Provide technical expertise on Azure cloud services and solutions, classified and SAP networking architectures, emphasizing ABAC, hybrid connectivity, CDS, hyperscale cloud, and collaboration services.
  • Offer detailed analysis of client-specific and mission-critical challenges, focusing on risk management, cost implications, and mission alignment for cloud SAP environments.
  • Consult with customers to define needs, address problems, and deliver innovative solutions tailored to requirements.
  • Design and oversee enterprise architectures that align with organizational objectives and classified operations.
  • Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks, operating models, and enterprise architecture strategies for scalable and resilient environments.
  • Apply enterprise architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF) and best practices to ensure successful implementation across classified and hybrid environments.
  • Utilize digital engineering tools and techniques to capture system functions, interfaces, requirements, and operational concepts.
  • Lead or support technically complex programs, projects, or tasks requiring engineering oversight and strategic alignment.
  • Plan and perform engineering research, design development, and technical assignments, ensuring compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Ensure deliverables meet warfighter objectives and quality standards, assessing program outcomes against established metrics.
  • Leverage enterprise integration patterns and data-driven models to enhance business process alignment and decision-making.
  • Initiate and oversee studies, surveys, and analyses to collect and interpret data, driving actionable recommendations for performance improvement.
