About The Position

The primary role of the Chief Electrician is to direct the activities and tasks
of the electrical underground and
surface personnel to ensure that the installation, alteration, maintenance,
troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
Provides technical and operational expertise for design, estimates,
mobilization, obtaining quates selecting materials and equipment (procurement
process) with respect to electrical installations at Redpath projects ensuring
adherence to safety policies, practices, and regulations. The incumbent assigns
duties and inspects the work of a group of electricians, apprentices, and
helpers and directs and oversees some of the more difficult electrical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to safety policies, practices, and regulations.
• Assign duties and inspect the work of a group of electricians, apprentices, and helpers.
• Direct and oversee some of the more difficult electrical tasks.
