About The Position

The Chief Deputy Treasurer-Tax Collector assists in supervising and coordinating activities within the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office. This role involves overseeing complex treasury, tax, and collection operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and managing staff engaged in various financial functions. The position is responsible for the collection, custody, investment, and disbursement of funds for the County and related entities, as well as the administration of property tax revenues and other financial assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, public administration, or related field.
• Three years of related experience in professional financial work with a focus in treasury and tax, including one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the supervision and coordination of activities within the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office.
• Oversee and perform specialized tasks related to treasury, tax, and collection operations.
• Analyze various treasury and tax operations, policies, and procedures.
• Plan, organize, supervise, and direct the work of staff in treasury and tax functions.
• Monitor and coordinate the work of staff within the assigned unit.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to staff.
• Prepare complex reports utilizing various software.
• Oversee revenue collection functions for all County departments and offices.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate the annual property tax issuance and collection process.
