The Agency You’ll Join The New York City Mayor’s Office is responsible for overseeing city services throughout the five boroughs, coordinating public agencies and departments, and managing public property. New York City Mayor Eric Adams is head of the executive branch of New York City's government. Previously, Mayor Adams has served the people of New York City as an NYPD officer, state senator, and Brooklyn borough president. The Team You’ll Work With The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Operations (DMO) works to advance the City's efforts to address policy matters across the five boroughs, coordinate operational efforts across the City's public agencies, improve access to services for all New Yorkers, and ensure agencies are run compassionately and effectively. The Deputy Mayor oversees 8 city agencies and 1 mayoral office: DOT, DEP, DSNY, DOB, DDC, SCA, Parks, TLC, and the Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice. The Problems You’ll Solve The Chief Delivery Officer is dedicated to advancing the Administration’s priorities by - Cutting through the maze of bureaucracy and regulations that limit flexibility and drag out schedules, for smarter spending and meeting community commitments with public infrastructure. - Removing barriers to agency interactions with contractors, to create more opportunities for New Yorkers with good-paying construction jobs. - Meeting the moment to improve systems is necessary not only to maintain a state of good repair, but also, modernize our facilities and prepare New York for the future. Reporting to the Deputy Mayor for Operations, the Chief Delivery Officer is responsible for organizational effectiveness of the NYC capital delivery processes and works collaboratively across stakeholder agencies to drive the strategic vision essential to delivering results in project delivery and infrastructure initiatives. The Chief Delivery Officer will continue the work of the Mayor's Capital Process Reform Task Force (the Task Force) and represent the Deputy Mayor on relevant panels, public engagements, and press events to manage industry relationships and strengthen partnerships necessary to modernize NYC project delivery.
