This position will report directly to the CEO with a close working relationship with the FVH OR Manager. Enjoy a 4-day work week and 1 in 6 call rotation!

Requirements

Current CRNA licensure in the State of Iowa; current certifications as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa or meet the requirements of a multi-state license.
CRNA experience required

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for surgical patients and assists with emergency management and emergency IV access
Assure overall high quality and patient safety for all CRNA-related functions
Establish and set FVH CRNA work schedule, approve PTO requests in conjunction with OR Manager
Represent CRNAs on Active Medical Staff
Evaluate, submit, and monitor all CRNA performance improvement projects
Complete performance appraisals on all FVH-employed CRNAs
Address performance concerns both clinically and professionally for all CRNA-related activities within FVH
Ensure overall compliance with FVH CRNA policies, ensuring best practice and standard of care is bring met; annual review of all CRNA policies
Ensure adequate coverage is in place for FVH Operating Rooms, including same day procedures
Oversight of FVH Pain Management Services
Provide education to surgery department staff on relevant topics
Conduct CRNA department meetings to ensure collaboration and consistency among team
