The Chief Credit Officer provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Bank’s credit administration, underwriting standards, portfolio quality, and credit risk management practices. As a key advisor to executive leadership, the CCO ensures sound credit decisions, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the Bank’s long‑term growth goals. This role directly oversees the Credit Department, including Credit Analysts and the AVP Special Assets Manager, and plays a central role in shaping the Bank’s credit culture. What You’ll Do The CCO leads with a balance of strategic insight and operational excellence. Core responsibilities include: Providing direction, coaching, and development for the Credit Department to ensure strong performance and adherence to policy and regulatory standards. Overseeing underwriting quality, loan presentations, risk ratings, and credit approval processes to ensure sound credit decisions. Managing the Bank’s loan review, real estate valuation, and environmental processes to identify trends, mitigate risk, and maintain portfolio quality. Leading the Collections and Special Assets functions, including delinquency management, workouts, and legal proceedings. Presenting timely and comprehensive loan portfolio reporting to the Board of Directors, including CECL, concentrations, delinquency trends, and criticized assets. As a member of the Executive Team, the CCO collaborates closely with the President, Chief Lending Officer, Chief Retail Officer, and other leaders to guide strategic planning, loan policy development, and credit‑related initiatives. Successful candidates will have: At least 10 years of experience in credit and risk management, including supervisory responsibilities.
