About The Position

Position Purpose: The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at the Company plays a pivotal role in steering the direction of our business operations, propelling both revenue generation and sustainable growth. This role primarily involves orchestrating highly strategic initiatives encompassing sales, marketing, product development, and customer service to meet and exceed company targets. The CCO is tasked with creating and driving the execution of impactful sales strategies, fostering strategic partnerships, and promoting operational alignment in line with the company's mission and vision. Direct Manager Direct Reports: Direct Manager / Direct Reports: The Commercial Officer (CCO) will directly report to the President of the Division. Direct reports include national sales. The individual is responsible for aligning departmental strategies with the overall commercial objectives of the Company. As such, the CCO provides strategic direction and leadership to a large team and manages inter-departmental collaboration to achieve company-wide objectives. The CCO is responsible for the performance management, development, and recruitment of their direct reports, ensuring the right skills and resources are in place to deliver against set objectives. Regular reporting of departmental successes, challenges, and strategic initiatives to the Exec Leadership and other members of the executive team is expected. Leadership, effective communication, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships within and outside the organization are key attributes for this role. Travel Requirements: The Chief Commercial Officer is expected to undertake domestic and international travel, as necessary, for the effective execution of the job role, including participation in key strategic meetings, visiting company branches, and essential industry events, with the frequency to be determined based on business needs. This is a sedentary role which primarily involves sitting for extended periods and using standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers. Requirements

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of executive experience in a highly strategic and leadership role within an organization of Fortune 50 scale or equivalent.

  • An advanced degree, such as an MBA or a related discipline from a globally recognized and respected institution, is highly preferred.
  • Additional qualifications of pertinence to strategic commercial operations, leadership and management, such as executive leadership programs or corporate strategy certifications, would be advantageous.
  • MBA degree or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Professional certification in sales strategy or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Certification or vast experience in operational efficiency and strategic implementation.
  • Preferably certified in data analysis and financial reporting.
  • Relevant industry-specific certifications can add to the uniqueness and competitiveness of the candidate.
  • Market-focused certifications to showcase understanding and predicting market trends would be advantageous.
  • Certification in leadership or team management is desired.
  • Experience or certification in compliance and regulatory affairs would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute strategic commercial initiatives to maximize growth in both direct and partner sales channels, contributing to overall revenue and profitability.
