About The Position

FWI is seeking a Chief Cloud Architect/Lead Infrastructure SME for Infrastructure Support (CCALIS) to support the MODES III program for the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for Military Community & Family Policy (MC&FP). The CCALIS will serve as the enterprise lead for AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure, delivering secure, scalable, and compliant solutions across MC&FP's digital platforms. Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, information systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of six years of DoD or Federal IT Architecture and/or Infrastructure experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure support.
  • Possess one of the following certifications: CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GICSP, GSLC, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP.
  • Requires a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of five years of experience supporting cloud architecture and infrastructure in DevSecOps and Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the designated CCALIS, providing enterprise architecture and infrastructure leadership across MODES III's AWS GovCloud-based environments.
  • Architect and optimize highly available, secure systems supporting MODES III's user-centered applications, content platforms, and IT services.
  • Lead the design and implementation of ZTA-compliant, resilient, and scalable cloud infrastructure aligned with DoD mission requirements.
  • Oversee the integration of DevSecOps pipelines, mobile platforms, CMS, APIs, and database services, with a focus on continuous delivery and modernization.
  • Ensure architectural compliance with DoDAF, RMF, DISA SRG/STIG, and applicable DoD and NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Lead documentation of system architectures, cloud migration strategies, and modernization roadmaps for legacy systems.
  • Collaborate with system engineers and cybersecurity analysts to maintain FedRAMP, DoD IL5, and DISA accreditation standards across infrastructure layers.
  • Provide expertise in container orchestration, network segmentation, identity and access management (IAM), and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices to enable secure operations.
