About The Position
The Chief, Bus Fare Enforcement - EAGLE Teams will oversee the daily operations of all fare enforcement activities on Select Bus Service (SBS) lines and Regular Bus Service (RBS) in both MTA Bus lines and all NYC Transit Buses. This position will develop and implement plans to protect NYC Transit properties and its employees against terrorism, theft, vandalism, and other crimes in all subway yards and lay-up areas. Additionally, the role includes providing executive protection services for the Executive Staff. Responsibilities also encompass interacting with the New Fare Payment System, researching and developing new technologies to issue and track TAB Summonses, overseeing the recruitment, training, and deployment of all Fare Enforcement Agents (FEA), Special Inspectors (SI), Special Inspector Supervisors (SIS), and other security personnel. The Chief will forecast budgetary requirements for the expansions of SBS and RBS lines and develop cost-effective ways to streamline personnel and equipment to optimize deployment and enforcement.
